We are excited to finally be having our new flooring put down throughout the shop next week. To enable the works to go ahead we will need to close the Village Shop and Post Office on MONDAY (19th April), TUESDAY (20th April) and WEDNESDAY (21st April). During this time, we will be operating a temporary pop-up shop at reduced hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm from the side door located up the gravel driveway.
Please note the following will be affected whilst the works are carried out:
A temporary pop-up shop will be available for essential items. If you wish to pre-order, please provide us with your order details 24 hours in advance, the orders can be collected from the pop-up shop.
We will still be providing our regular delivery services to residents in Chilbolton and Wherwell if required.
DAILY PAPERS and REGULAR MAGAZINES:
Daily newspapers and magazines will still be available to collect from the temporary shop.
The Post Office will be CLOSED for all services on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (Stamped post will still be collected from the post box located outside the shop).
NATIONAL LOTTERY and SCRATCHCARDS:
We will NOT be able to sell, check or pay winnings on the National Lottery or Scratch cards on these days.
TEAROOM AND TAKEAWAY REFRESHMENTS:
The tearoom will remain closed, and we will be unable to provide takeaway teas, coffees and refreshments whilst the works are carried out.
Prescriptions will still be collected and delivered to the shop as normal. Please come to the temporary pop-up shop to collect these.
Although the temporary shop will be mainly located outside, we politely ask that you please observe current COVID guidelines and wear your face coverings to protect both other customers and staff.
We very much look forward to opening our doors and resuming full services from Thursday 22nd April and appreciate these temporary measures may cause some short-term disruption, which we apologies for. Please do bear with us during these works and do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
With thanks from,
Nicky, Andy and all the staff
